Property Maintenance Technician

Property Maintenance Technician Job Summary:

We are hiring a Property Maintenance Technician for a property management company in Grand Rapids, MI. This company manages a variety of residential and commercial properties, including single-family homes, duplexes, multi-family buildings, and businesses. They are looking for a well-rounded maintenance technician who can troubleshoot issues, complete general repairs, and help determine when an outside contractor is needed. This is a long-term, full-time opportunity with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule.

Property Maintenance Technician Requirements:

• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete general property repairs
• Drywall repair, painting, and general building maintenance
• Basic plumbing and electrical repairs
• Appliance troubleshooting and repair
• Basic HVAC troubleshooting
• Complete service requests at residential and commercial properties
• Communicate with property management and outside contractors regarding maintenance issues
• Help identify the cause of an issue before a contractor is brought onsite
• Travel between properties in the Grand Rapids area and Lansing as needed

Schedule & Pay:

• 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
• $25.00/HR

Property Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• Previous property, apartment, building maintenance, construction, or similar hands-on maintenance experience
• Well-rounded knowledge of general repairs and troubleshooting
• Ability to use power tools and basic hand tools
• Must have your own vehicle, a valid driver's license, and your own basic set of tools
• Comfortable traveling to Lansing properties approximately 1-2 days per week
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests
• Comfortable working in both residential and commercial properties
• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently
