1st Shift Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Our client in Rockford is seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join their team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the fastener, screw machine, or related manufacturing industry. Job Responsibilities:

 

• Package LTL shipments correctly so product does not arrive damaged or missing. 
• Package for UPS shipments to arrive undamaged or missing parts.
• Provide accurate count on parts.
• Demonstrate the ability to correctly identify products listed on a received PO to the items that have been received.
• Account for all material received vs all the material listed on PO.
• Demonstrate the ability to properly fill out MIT forms and cards for production.
• Demonstrate the ability to determine what department the received parts for.

Job Qualifications: 

• Previous shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Experience in the fastener, screw machine, grinding, or metalworking industry preferred
• Familiarity with packing slips, bills of lading, purchase orders, and shipping documentation
• Ability to prepare, package, label, and process outgoing shipments accurately
• Experience receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials against purchase orders
• Proficiency with inventory systems, computers, and basic data entry
• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift, pallet jack, and other material-handling equipment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to use basic measuring tools to verify materials or finished parts
• Effective communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and move throughout the shift
