Job Title: HVAC Technician

Location: Corning, NY

Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour, based on experience

Job Description:
A local company in the Corning, NY area is seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Technician to join their team. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues
• Install HVAC equipment, ductwork, and related components
• Test airflow, refrigerant levels, and electrical systems
• Replace defective parts including motors, compressors, and valves
• Respond to service calls and emergency repairs as needed
• Explain repair recommendations and maintenance needs to customers
• Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
• Follow all safety procedures and industry standards

Requirements:

• Previous HVAC experience required
• EPA Certification preferred or ability to obtain
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical schematics, and mechanical systems
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, on rooftops, and in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials
