CNC Operator

Located in Chaska, MN

Salary: $21.00 - $26.00/hr DOQ

Express Employment Professionals is assisting a local Chaska company in their search to fill a CNC Operator. As a CNC Operator, you will operating a computer numerical controlled lathe and/or mill with minimal supervision.  The position runs production lots, keeps records, communicates with co-workers and managers regarding production runs, and maintaining standards. What's an average day like as a CNC Operator:

• Setup, load parts and cycle computer numerical control equipment per daily schedule
• Perform inspection of machined products (including documentation of results)
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.
• Read, understand, and interpret work instructions/setup documents and standard operating procedures
• Complete and maintain paperwork for parts.
• Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures

What do we look for in a CNC Operator:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations including the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions

• Follow written and verbal instructions
• One year related experience, training and/or technical education
• Proficiency with CNC controls
• Experience operating CNC lathes and/or mills
• Forklift experience and/or active forklift certification 

Schedule: 

• 1st shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday
• 2nd shift 3:30 pm to 2:00 am Monday through Friday
