LEASING AGENT

Location: Salem, OR
PAY: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Availability between 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, depending on business needs

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to assist with leasing activities and day-to-day property operations. This position will work closely with the Property Manager, learning the property’s operations while providing excellent customer service to prospective and current residents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Warmly greet visitors, prospective renters, and current residents.
  • Provide prospective tenants with information, brochures, and tours of available units and facilities.
  • Consult with prospective tenants to understand their needs and budgets and match them with available properties.
  • Ensure available and model apartments are clean, fresh, and ready for viewing.
  • Conduct background and credit checks and verify references as directed by the Leasing Manager.
  • Prepare leases for Leasing Manager review and approval and obtain required signatures.
  • Learn property operations and procedures from the Property Manager.
  • Provide administrative and operational support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service throughout the leasing process.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous property management experience required.
  • Outgoing, friendly personality with the ability to make others feel welcome and comfortable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and sales skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • QuickBooks proficiency preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
  • High school diploma required; some college preferred.
  • Must be able to walk throughout the property and climb stairs as needed.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting the Property Manager and leasing team.
