Express Employment Professionals in Edina is supporting an industry leader in their search for a Saw Operator in Bloomington, MN. In this role, you will operate industrial saw equipment to accurately cut metal materials according to customer specifications while maintaining high standards for quality, productivity, and workplace safety. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with manufacturing, metal fabrication, warehouse, or machine operation experience who are looking to build a long-term career with an industry-leading materials supplier.

 

What's an average day like as a Saw Operator:

  • Operate band saws, cold saws, and other cutting equipment to process metal products.
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and material specifications.
  • Measure and verify cut lengths using tape measures, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet customer and company requirements.
  • Load, unload, and move materials using cranes, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment.
  • Maintain production records and complete required documentation.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.

What do we look for in a Saw Operator:

  • Previous experience operating saws, cutting equipment, CNC machinery, or manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic math calculations.
  • Experience working with metal products is a plus.
  • Ability to read work instructions and follow detailed production specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Schedule:

  • 1st shift Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
  • 2nd shift Monday - Friday 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm
