Responsibilities

The IT Applications Engineer supports the design, development, and modification of computer applications and programs, ensuring efficient and effective fulfillment of business objectives.

• Support C.Core, Plex, and SAP users, including report development.

• Support SAP/Plex/C.Core interface schedules and troubleshoot errors.

• Work with associates and software providers in all phases of software implementation, including requirements gathering, testing, and support.

• Support EDI using Gentran, including updates and troubleshooting.

• Perform database maintenance and troubleshooting for SQL servers.

• Address other issues and/or assume other responsibilities as opportunities arise.

• Develop and participate in department projects as requested to help departments work more efficiently.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or experience with Plex, SAP, and/or EDI

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Application Engineer

• Experience with Microsoft products

• Experience with SQL databases and Windows operating systems

• Experience with query-based report writing

• Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and end users

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills

Working Conditions

• Lifting up to 40 lbs.: approximately 0.5 hour per day

• General office environment: approximately 8 hours per day

• On-call availability: 24 hours per day

• Occasional overnight travel may be required to perform essential functions at remote locations or receive training.

• Overtime may be required, including unplanned and unscheduled overtime, to meet customer deadlines and requirements.

Hazards

• While performing the job, the position could be exposed to moving or mechanical parts.

• Moderate noise levels within specific areas of the facility may require the wearing of hearing protection.
