Our Scarborough client, a leading design and manufacturing company, is looking for a Parts Assembler to join their team!

Responsibilities:

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electronic components according to drawings, specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and work instructions
• Build and pre-assemble control panels, control boxes, firewall boxes, metal detector components, spare parts kits, and test samples
• Install connectors, fittings, hardware, fasteners, and various electronic components
• Cut, drill, modify, and prepare plastic and mechanical components for assembly
• Complete mechanical fitting, fastening, drilling, and assembly operations
• Inspect incoming and assembled parts to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
• Verify dimensions, fit, and alignment using appropriate measuring tools
• Identify and report damaged, defective, or non-conforming components
• Perform basic testing of assemblies, boards, and components according to production procedures
• Assist with troubleshooting, repairs, and product adjustments
• Gather, organize, and verify part numbers for materials needed for assembly jobs
• Assist with general housekeeping duties (cleaning workstations, organizing materials, and returning tools to designated locations)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills: 

• 1-2 years of Production and Assembly experience within Manufacturing or Production environment
• Experience operating hand and power tools (drills, screwdrivers, ratchets, etc.)
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and diagrams
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Comfortable lifting up to 30lbs
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Must be reliable, dependable, and punctual

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience assembling control panels, control boxes, machinery, industrial equipment, or electronic components
• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic schematics
• Experience using measuring and inspection tools

 Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 3:30pm
• Pay Rate: $20 per hour
