HVAC Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, provide excellent customer service, and be committed to completing work safely and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain, and repair residential and/or commercial HVAC systems.

• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration system problems.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and system inspections.

• Troubleshoot air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment.

• Check refrigerant levels and identify and repair leaks.

• Replace or repair defective components, including motors, compressors, capacitors, thermostats, contactors, and electrical components.

• Read and interpret equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

• Explain system problems and recommended repairs to customers in a professional manner.

• Complete service calls, maintenance work, and installations efficiently and accurately.

• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.

• Follow all company safety procedures, manufacturer specifications, and applicable codes.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicles in good working condition.

• Maintain a clean and professional work area.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience preferred; entry-level candidates with appropriate training may be considered.

• Knowledge of HVAC electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems.

• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC problems.

• EPA 608 certification preferred or required depending on position.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication and customer-service skills.

• Ability to lift equipment and materials and work in hot, cold, tight, and elevated spaces.

• Willingness to work occasional overtime, weekends, or emergency calls when needed.
