Job Full Description

Express Employment Professionals is seeking dependable Housekeepers / Janitors to work at a senior living community in Troy, NY. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a senior living environment.

 

Pay Rate :

• $18.00 per hour

Work Schedule :

• Day shift
• Multiple schedules available
• 7:00AM - 3:00PM
• 12:00PM - 7:00PM

Key Responsibilities :

• Clean and sanitize resident common areas, hallways, restrooms, offices, and other assigned areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces throughout the facility.
• Empty trash and properly dispose of waste.
• Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces to maintain a safe environment.
• Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
• Maintain cleaning carts, supplies, and equipment in an organized manner.
• Follow established cleaning, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Report maintenance, safety, or sanitation concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor around residents, staff, and visitors.

Skills and Experience Required :

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Senior living, healthcare, hotel, or environmental services experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
• Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and standard janitorial equipment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the shift.
• Must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
• Ability to lift and carry up to approximately 25–50 lbs.
