Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating reach trucks and other material handling equipment to efficiently manage inventory, facilitate shipping and receiving processes, and support overall warehouse operations. Duties

• Operate reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse.
• Perform order picking using barcode scanning systems to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
• Load and unload shipments while adhering to OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols.
• Manage inventory levels through regular stock counts, updating the warehouse management system (WMS) accurately.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipment contents against documentation and ensuring proper storage.
• Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance.
• Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials for efficient storage and retrieval.
• Utilize manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks while following proper ergonomic practices.
• Maintain accurate records of materials handled, including barcode scans, shipment details, and inventory movements.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve overall warehouse efficiency.

Experience

• Proven experience operating reach trucks or similar heavy equipment such as forklifts, Hi-Lo’s, or pallet jacks within a warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology, and inventory control procedures.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to forklift operation, OSHA regulations, and warehouse safety protocols.
• Experience in shipping & receiving processes, order picking, load & unload operations, and materials handling.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements.
• Prior experience in warehouse supervision or team coordination is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to perform equipment repairs or basic troubleshooting is a plus.
