Compensation: $80,000 – $90,000+ base salary (commensurate with location and experience)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (On-site onboarding transitioning to 3 days in-office / 2 days remote)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist to lead both strategic and operational sourcing initiatives across our organization. This is a dynamic, high-impact role responsible for supplier selection, complex negotiations, sourcing strategy development, contract management, and cross-functional stakeholder leadership.

Unlike a traditional, direct-materials buyer role, this position offers broad scope and ownership. We encourage candidates with robust strategic sourcing experience across diverse industries—such as manufacturing, utilities, healthcare, corporate procurement, logistics, construction, or public sector procurement—to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Supplier Selection & Negotiation: Lead end-to-end proposal reviews, evaluate supplier bids, and conduct high-stakes commercial negotiations.
• Sourcing Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies, analytical frameworks, and process improvements across goods and services.
• Stakeholder Management: Partner closely with internal business leaders to define requirements, specifications, and vendor selection criteria.
• Project Leadership: Manage multiple sourcing initiatives simultaneously from initial market research through contract execution and performance monitoring.
• Contract Management: Oversee contract lifecycles, ensuring legal compliance, risk mitigation, and optimal commercial terms.
• Mentorship: Serve as a subject-matter expert, guiding and supporting peers and internal teams on sourcing best practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of strategic sourcing experience handling both goods and services.
• Core Competencies: Proven track record in supplier negotiation, contract administration, and project execution.
• Stakeholder Focus: Exceptional communication, relationship-building skills, and a strong executive presence.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel (data modeling, analysis).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field preferred (equivalent hands-on strategic sourcing experience will be considered).
• Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without current or future sponsorship.

Work Schedule & Hybrid Flexibility

• Initial Onboarding (First 90 Days): Full-time on-site schedule for immersive training, team integration, and orientation.
• Long-Term Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in-office / 2 days remote weekly.
