$20-$23/hr | Full-Time | 3-Day Weekend Every Week

What You'll Do

• Assist the veterinarian with examinations, treatments, and medical procedures
• Obtain and document patient histories
• Safely restrain and handle pets during exams and treatments
• Collect laboratory samples and perform diagnostic testing
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
• Monitor hospitalized patients and report changes in condition
• Assist with surgery preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and patient recovery
• Take and process radiographs
• Educate pet owners on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
• Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical spaces
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital
• Work closely with the veterinarian and support staff to provide excellent patient care

 

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 1 year of veterinary clinic experience as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant
• Strong understanding of animal handling and restraint techniques
• Experience assisting with examinations and treatments
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment
• Basic computer proficiency
• High school diploma or equivalent

 

Preferred

• Experience monitoring anesthesia and assisting with surgery
• Experience with radiology and laboratory diagnostics
• Familiarity with Covetrus Pulse or other veterinary practice management software
• Veterinary Technician certification or license preferred but not required
