Our client is seeking an experienced General Manager of their Ready Mix division to provide strategic leadership across our NW Oregon operations. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who understands the complexities of concrete production, fleet and equipment operations, customer service, safety, and financial performance—and knows how to bring people together around common goals.

What You’ll Do
As General Manager, you’ll have broad operational and financial responsibility, providing leadership that drives safety, quality, service, employee engagement, and profitability.
Your responsibilities will include:
•    Provide strategic leadership and overall oversight of Ready-Mix operations, concrete production, fleet, maintenance, and supporting activities.
•    Lead operations, sales, and support teams across the Metro and Willamette Valley Divisions.
•    Own and drive P&L performance, budgeting, financial results, and operational profitability.
•    Establish priorities and performance expectations that support safety, quality, customer service, productivity, and business growth.
•    Ensure compliance with applicable MSHA, OSHA, EPA, environmental, and other regulatory requirements.
•    Lead capital improvement initiatives from planning and budgeting through execution, including evaluating ROI and long-term business impact.
•    Identify and implement new technologies, products, processes, and operational practices that improve efficiency, safety, quality, and environmental performance.
•    Support initiatives focused on carbon reduction and reducing the environmental impact of operations.
•    Evaluate and resolve complex challenges involving materials, production, quality, equipment, maintenance, logistics, and customer service.
•    Build strong relationships across the organization and effectively collaborate with internal teams, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
•    Develop, coach, and retain talented leaders and employees, creating a culture of accountability, engagement, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
•    Navigate high-pressure situations with sound judgment, professionalism, and a solutions-oriented approach.
•    Partner with leadership on employee relations matters and promote a respectful, professional, and customer-focused workplace.

What You Bring
We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on leader who can see the big picture while understanding the operational details that drive a successful Ready-Mix business. You’ll ideally bring:
•    Proven leadership experience in Ready-Mix concrete, construction materials, aggregates, or a related industry.
•    Demonstrated responsibility for P&L management, budgeting, and financial performance.
•    Experience overseeing concrete production, fleet operations, equipment, and maintenance.
•    A track record of leading teams and developing people in a fast-paced operational environment.
•    Strong business judgment and the ability to translate operational challenges into practical solutions.
•    Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
•    A collaborative leadership style with the ability to build trust and accountability at all levels.
•    The ability to remain composed and effective in a high-pressure environment.
•    A self-motivated approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
•    A strong commitment to safety, quality, customer service, and employee engagement.
