Extruder Operator | Production Machine Operator

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

Are you looking for a hands-on manufacturing or production opportunity in the Menomonie area? We are seeking a dependable Extruder Operator to join a busy Soft Chew production team. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in manufacturing, production, machine operation, factory work, or warehouse environments.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
• Two paid 15-minute breaks
• One unpaid 30-minute lunch break

Team members must be flexible, as start and end times may occasionally change with limited notice. Production batches in this area must be completed the same day, so employees may be asked to start early, stay late, or occasionally work Saturdays based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down extrusion equipment
• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently
• Monitor product quality and consistency throughout production
• Perform required metal detection checks
• Clean machine components after production runs
• Assist with end-of-day cleaning of the production area
• Support bi-weekly deep cleaning activities
• Follow all safety, quality, and sanitation procedures

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift
• Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Qualifications

Previous experience in manufacturing, production, machine operator, factory, warehouse, extrusion, or other industrial environments is a plus. Candidates with transferable experience from welding, machinist, CNC machinist, or related production roles are encouraged to apply.
