Job Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking motivated General Laborer position. This position involves loading and unloading materials including boxes and furniture from storage areas, and or trucks and transporting them to designated locations while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Candidates should be comfortable with physical labor, frequent lifting, and working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Remove boxes and materials from trucks, storage rooms and designated areas.
• Carry and transport materials to storage locations, disposal containers or dumpsters.
• Walk up and down stairs throughout the shift.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and disposal of materials.
• Work safely and efficiently with team members on heavy or oversized items.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the project.
• Follow all site safety guidelines and instructions.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the duration of the shift.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to participate in team lifts when required.
• At least 1 year of experience in unloading, moving, or general labor work preferred.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including bending, lifting, walking, and climbing stairs.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow directions.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting and carrying of materials up to 50 pounds.
• Continuous standing and walking during the shift.
• Repeated use of stairs throughout the day.
• Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
