Job description:

We are seeking a CNC Machine Operator / CNC Router Operator to support our cabinet and furniture manufacturing operations.

This is NOT a metal machining role—we work with wood, laminate, and composite materials using a nested-based CNC router.

This role is ideal for someone who can set up, operate, and make basic program adjustments in a production environment.

 

Equipment Used

  • Anderson Spectrum M512 CNC Router (nested-based system)
  • Vacuum table for sheet goods (4x8, 5x10, 5x12 materials)

What You’ll Do

  • Set up and operate CNC router for production jobs
  • Load and process sheet materials (MDF, plywood, laminate, etc.)
  • Run nested-based programs to cut multiple parts from full sheets
  • Read shop drawings, cut lists, and work orders
  • Make minor program adjustments and offsets
  • Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy
  • Troubleshoot machine or material issues
  • Perform routine maintenance and keep the work area clean.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of CNC experience
  • CNC router / cabinet shop / millwork experience preferred
  • Ability to read shop drawings and production documents
  • Basic programming knowledge or willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reliable and team-oriented

Preferred:

  • Cabinet Vision or similar software
  • Furniture, cabinet, or millwork background

Skills

  • Proficiency in CNC programming, CAM programming, and familiarity with Fanuc controls.
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings.
  • Experience operating various industrial equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, and flexo presses.
  • Knowledge of shop math and basic math skills is necessary for machining calculations.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to machine operation, tooling setup, fabrication processes, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators, for dimensional measurements.
  • Familiarity with safety standards in manufacturing facilities and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Experience with factory operations involving materials handling, packaging, assembly line work, and tooling management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently.
  • Good communication skills for interpreting technical instructions and collaborating within a team environment.
