Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: 7:00AM-6:00PM

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Yard Jockey to safely move trailers and equipment throughout the facility yard. The Yard Jockey will be responsible for positioning trailers at loading docks, organizing the yard, and supporting warehouse and transportation operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate a yard truck/yard goat to move trailers safely throughout the facility.
• Move trailers to and from loading docks, staging areas, and parking locations.
• Assist with organizing and maintaining an efficient yard layout.
• Perform trailer checks and report any damage or maintenance issues.
• Safely connect and disconnect trailers as needed.
• Communicate with warehouse, shipping, receiving, and transportation teams.
• Follow all company safety procedures and DOT/facility requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of trailer movements when required.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections before and during operation.
• Keep the yard clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Perform other warehouse or yard duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous Yard Jockey, Yard Driver, CDL, or tractor-trailer experience preferred.
• Experience operating a yard truck/spotter is highly preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to safely maneuver trailers in tight spaces.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to climb in and out of yard trucks and trailers.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
• Ability to work in hot, cold, and wet weather conditions.
• Ability to safely perform repetitive physical tasks.

Work Environment:
Fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment with frequent movement of trucks, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment. Safety, communication, and teamwork are essential.
