Production Equipment Repairs & Maintenance Associate
Your Mechanical Skills. Your Department. Your Opportunity to Grow.
Pay: $20–$22/hour to start, depending on experience
Higher starting pay may be considered for candidates with strong maintenance experience
Are you mechanically inclined, dependable, and ready to take ownership of a critical maintenance role? We’re looking for a Production Equipment Repairs & Maintenance Associate to keep production equipment and facility systems operating safely and efficiently in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
This is a great opportunity for someone with machine maintenance, mechanical, industrial maintenance, or equipment repair experience who wants to expand their skills and take on greater responsibility.
You don’t need experience with every piece of equipment. Much of the machinery is specialized, and you’ll receive hands-on training directly from company leadership to learn the equipment, maintenance processes, and procedures specific to the facility.
The person hired for this role will initially work closely alongside an experienced leader to learn the operation, troubleshoot equipment, understand preventative maintenance schedules, and become increasingly self-sufficient. As the company continues to grow, there is potential for this position to develop into a supervisory or management opportunity.
What You’ll Do
- Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on production equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and operational issues
- Assist with repairs and maintenance of production machinery, including:
- Pasteurizers
- Plate heat exchangers
- Homogenizers
- VFFS machines
- Continuous freezers
- Pumps, belts, and motors
- Water loops, cooling systems, tanks, and related equipment
- Follow preventative maintenance schedules and accurately document completed work
- Maintain detailed repair and maintenance records to support food safety and SQF compliance
- Identify equipment issues and communicate repair needs appropriately
- Help improve maintenance procedures and identify opportunities to prevent future equipment issues
- Keep tools, equipment, and maintenance areas clean, organized, and properly maintained
- Account for tools before and after maintenance activities
- Perform general facility maintenance and repairs, including:
- Doors, hinges, and hardware
- Walls, ceilings, and floors
- Lighting and fixtures
- Drains, plumbing, and water systems
- General building repairs
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in machine maintenance, industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, equipment maintenance, or a related field is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot problems
- Comfortable learning new and specialized machinery
- Dependable and able to work independently
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to follow a maintenance schedule without constant supervision
- Safety-conscious and attentive to detail
- Willingness to take notes, learn procedures, and apply training independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
- Experience with electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, or production equipment is a plus
- Food manufacturing or SQF/GMP experience is helpful but not required
Why Consider This Opportunity?
This position offers the chance to become an essential part of a growing operation while developing specialized equipment knowledge that can lead to greater responsibility over time.
You’ll receive extensive hands-on training, work closely with experienced leadership, and have the opportunity to demonstrate your abilities and earn raises as you become proficient in the role. As the company grows, the person who takes ownership of this position today could have the opportunity to help build and eventually lead a maintenance team.
If you’re someone who enjoys figuring out how things work, solving problems, staying organized, and taking pride in keeping an operation running smoothly, we’d love to hear from you.
