JOB SUMMARY: The Permit Specialist is responsible for managing the process of securing all of the division’s building permits in order to commence construction of homes. The Permit Specialist will complete the permit applications and will deliver the applications to the applicable permit agencies. The Permit Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all permits are processed timely to ultimately secure the division’s closings and financial business plan goals. This includes coordination with the division Forward Planning Team, Civil Engineers, Solar Designers, municipalities, contractors, and Superintendents as needed to clear permits for issuance. Experience working with permits for homebuilders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Accurately compile application documents (i.e. plot plans, architectural plans, permit data)
• Submit applications online through agency
• Obtain invoices and submit requests for all permit-related (i.e., school district and City fees).
• Frequently check in on permit If comments are received, immediately coordinate with Forward Planning and the appropriate consultant team to address the comment and resubmit it to the City/Agency.
• Proficiency with Microsoft office suite, word, excel, outlook
