Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Receiving Inspector for a local manufacturing company. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong eye for detail and experience in quality inspection, electronics, or manufacturing.

The Receiving Inspector will be responsible for inspecting incoming raw materials, electronic components, and mechanical parts to ensure they meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements before being accepted into inventory or released to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming components, raw materials, and mechanical parts.
• Use inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, microscopes, and other precision measuring tools.
• Inspect electronic components such as capacitors, diodes, magnetics, PCBs, and related materials.
• Review Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), manufacturer datasheets, packing slips, and purchase orders for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform basic electrical or functional testing when required, including resistance, capacitance, and diode polarity checks using digital multimeters or LCR meters.
• Identify and segregate non-conforming or defective materials.
• Complete Material Rejection Reports (MRRs) and properly identify materials placed on hold.
• Accurately document inspection results in ERP and/or Quality Management Systems.
• Inspect electronic components for potential counterfeit indicators, including suspicious markings, sanding marks, inconsistent labeling, or poor packaging.
• Maintain accurate inspection records while following established quality procedures.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment.
• Comfortable working with small components and using a microscope for detailed inspections.
• Must meet applicable U.S. Person requirements for this position.

Preferred:

• 2+ years of QA/QC inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, blueprints, and electronic component datasheets.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards.
• Experience using LCR meters, digital multimeters, calipers, micrometers, microscopes, and other inspection equipment.
• Associate degree or applicable technical program certificate.

Physical Requirements

This position requires regularly sitting, standing, bending, twisting, reaching, and handling small to medium-sized materials and components. Candidates must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Regular microscope use is required.

Schedule & Work Environment

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position in a professional manufacturing/quality environment. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required depending on business needs. No travel is expected.

Pay

$16.00–$22.00 per hour, with starting pay determined by experience, education, qualifications, and other applicable factors.
