Diesel Mechanic

Pay: $30–$35/hr DOE
Hours: 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday
Location: Greenwood, LA
Schedule: No weekends

Seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join its team. This position is ideal for someone with strong hands-on diesel repair experience who can independently diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks and trailers. Welding experience is required.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related mechanical systems
Perform preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, brake, and suspension issues
Repair and replace worn or damaged components
Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed
Inspect trucks and trailers for safety and mechanical concerns
Complete routine service including oil changes, filters, fluids, and lubrication
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Accurately communicate needed repairs and completed work

Requirements

Previous professional diesel mechanic experience required
Experience working on commercial trucks and trailers
Welding experience required
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Ability to safely operate shop tools and equipment
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Must be dependable and able to maintain a Monday–Friday schedule
Valid driver's license preferred
