Press Setup Technician / Press Operator

Schedule: Full-Time

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Press Setup Technician / Press Operator for a manufacturing company in Mountainside, NJ. We are looking for a mechanically inclined candidate with hands-on experience setting up and operating production presses in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up production presses for manufacturing runs

• Install and change dies, tooling, fixtures, and press components

• Perform machine changeovers and adjustments between jobs

• Operate presses safely and efficiently

• Read and follow work orders, production specifications, and setup instructions

• Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy

• Troubleshoot basic press, tooling, and setup issues

• Monitor equipment and make adjustments during production as needed

• Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

• Maintain a clean and safe work area

• Follow all company safety and quality procedures

Qualifications

• Previous press setup or press operator experience required

• Experience in manufacturing, metalworking, or industrial production

• Ability to independently perform machine setups and changeovers

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Experience working with dies and tooling

• Ability to use basic precision measuring equipment

• Blueprint or technical drawing experience is a plus

• Strong attention to detail and quality

• Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
