Purchasing Specialist

Salary: $60K - $65K / year

Job Description:

Express Employment Professionals of Clarksville is currently seeking experienced candidates for a Purchasing Specialist position with a Leading Manufacturer. This position is a Direct Hire and will pay between $60 - $65K per year based on experience. The hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

Responsibilities:

• Purchase vendor management and purchase process control
• Manage the PR/PO process for spare (MRO) parts and budgeted supplies and consumables
• Review vendor quotes and bids for accuracy and competitive strategies
• Ensure consigned MRO inventories are verified and invoiced
• Direct operators and assign tasks to ensure operation of MRO receiving and warehouse
• Issue purchase orders and make necessary changes to existing orders to meet actual needs
• Ensure MRO inventory system data is monitored and maintained
• Report on cycle count activity and results
• Can provide report of expected and actual spending related to monthly operating budgets
• Complies with & supports the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
• Good attitude, performance, and attendance is essential

Qualifications:

• Must have Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Purchasing and Inventory Control
• Bachelor's degree is preferred
• Must have several years of relevant experience 
• Previous experience in Manufacturing Industry is preferred
• Able to lift up to 5lbs.
