Mechanical Designer/Drafter

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer/Drafter to create and maintain detailed engineering designs, drawings, and documentation in support of manufacturing operations. This role requires proficiency in CAD software, strong technical knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, production, and fabrication teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Create accurate 3D CAD models and assemblies, along with detailed 2D production drawings, using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
• Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) within ERP and PDM systems.
• Revise and update engineering drawings based on engineering changes, production feedback, and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with production and fabrication teams to resolve design-related questions and manufacturing issues.
• Ensure all designs comply with company standards, industry best practices, and applicable safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Drafting and Design, CAD Technology, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related technical field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in mechanical design or drafting within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software, particularly SolidWorks.
• Experience with AutoCAD for 2D drafting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including sheet metal fabrication, machining, and welding.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and exceptional attention to detail.
