CNC Machinist / CNC Programmer

Pay: $25 - $35 DOE
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:30 pm

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists/CNC Programmers to join our growing manufacturing team. Candidates must have extensive experience operating, setting up, and programming CNC mills and lathes in a production environment. This position requires strong Mastercam skills, advanced machining knowledge, and the ability to produce complex precision parts with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC mills and lathes to manufacture precision machined components.
  • Program and edit CNC code using Mastercam software.
  • Work with 3-axis and 4-axis CNC machining centers to produce complex parts.
  • Load and unload materials and finished parts safely and efficiently.
  • Verify machine programs, tool offsets, and machine settings prior to production runs.
  • Inspect completed parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform deburring, finishing, and quality checks on machined components.
  • Machine a variety of metallic and non-metallic materials.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Troubleshoot machining and programming issues while maintaining production efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of CNC programming experience with 3-axis and 4-axis machining centers required.
  • Strong Mastercam programming experience required.
  • 5-10 years of experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes required.
  • Experience machining metallic and non-metallic materials required.
  • Journeyman-level machining skills strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of manual machining experience preferred.
  • Ability to set up and run complex machined parts with limited supervision.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, feeds, speeds, and workholding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering specifications.

Skills & Requirements

  • Advanced mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators.
  • Ability to lift materials and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Preferred Experience

  • Journeyman Machinist certification or equivalent experience.
  • Multi-axis machining experience.
  • Experience in low-volume, high-precision manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with quality control and inspection procedures.
