Service Manager | $85,000-$135,000

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Service Manager to lead daily operations in a service shop and field environment, offering a competitive salary between $85,000 and $135,000. In this role, you’ll coordinate mechanics and technicians, manage maintenance schedules, handle parts ordering, create work orders, and ensure everything runs smoothly and safely.

What You’ll Do:

Service & Shop Management:

• Oversee daily operations in the service shop.
• Coordinate tasks among mechanics and technicians.
• Ensure repairs and maintenance are completed efficiently.

Staffing & Leadership:

• Recruit and onboard skilled personnel.
• Create staffing schedules based on workload.
• Monitor team performance and identify training opportunities.

Preventative Maintenance:

• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate inspections and major service projects.
• Keep detailed service and maintenance records.

Compliance Management:

• Stay updated on DOT regulations.
• Ensure records meet all compliance requirements.
• Communicate maintenance needs clearly to the team.

Parts & Inventory Management:

• Identify and order parts for repairs.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and vendor relationships.

Field Service Coordination:

• Prioritize and coordinate responses to field service needs.
• Ensure technicians have the necessary tools and resources for repairs.

What You Need:

• Strong mechanical experience with heavy equipment.
• Previous supervisory experience in a similar field.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Work Environment:

• Based primarily in a service shop, with exposure to heavy equipment and varied conditions.
• Flexibility for occasional after-hours work for emergency coordination.
