Factory Order Writer / Estimator

Located in Springfield, MO

Salary: $21.50

A local Springfield company is searching for a Project Estimator who will have core responsibilities in estimating project bids. This position receives inbound calls, and at times, will make outbound follow-up client calls. Employees that work here say they enjoy how as a team we document calls and submit orders creating an informed Estimating team. This role works independently with custom company software, the ability to type 50+ words per minute and proper phone etiquette is essential. This innovative company is moving fast and often promotes from within. Our Project Estimator is vital to our success.

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask
• Effective verbal and communication skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams. 
• Ability to reas and comrehend architectural plans and shop drawings is a plus; training can be provided
• Ability to follow established processes and maintain accurate records
• Prior experience in estimating, order writing, manufacturing, construction, architechural products, or a related field is preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Ability to climb stairs on a regular basis
• Ability to walk throughout the production floor and manufacturing facility as needed. 
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and maneuver as necessary when accessing materials, equipment, or production areas
• Ability to work in an environment with typical manufacturing conditions, including machinery noise, dust, and varying temperatures

Full Time Evaluation Hire Position

M-F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

$21.50 / hour
