Pay: Starting at $24-$26/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
About the Opportunity
Our client is a growing high-tech manufacturing and engineering company serving industries that demand precision, quality, and attention to detail. They are seeking a Quality Technician I to support quality assurance processes, perform product inspections, and help ensure that manufacturing standards are consistently met.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, understand the importance of quality throughout the production process, and have a builder's mindset with the ability to interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings.
Position Summary
The Quality Technician I will assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality standards and procedures while performing hands-on inspections and audits throughout the manufacturing process.
This role will support production teams by conducting incoming, in-process, post-assembly, and final inspections to ensure products meet customer and industry requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming inspections of cables, fabricated metal parts, printed circuit boards, and other components.
- Conduct in-process, post-assembly, and final product inspections.
- Perform quality audits and document inspection results.
- Support the maintenance of equipment and tool calibration records.
- Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of quality processes and procedures.
- Work closely with manufacturing personnel to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Maintain accurate inspection and quality records.
- Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, technical documentation, specifications, and bills of material (BOMs).
- Understanding of inspection methods, measurement techniques, and quality control practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to apply basic math concepts including fractions, percentages, ratios, and measurements.
- U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Working knowledge of IPC J-STD-001, WHMA-A-620, and/or IPC-A-610 standards.
- Experience with PCB assemblies, cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, chassis assemblies, or electronic manufacturing.
- IPC or WHMA certifications (CIS or CIT) are a plus.
- Experience supporting calibration programs and quality documentation.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to move throughout a manufacturing facility as needed.
- Occasional overtime may be required.
