Program Leader I (After-School Youth Program)

Position Overview
The Program Leader is responsible for supervising and engaging a group of approximately 20 students while maintaining a safe, positive, and structured learning environment. This role supports a variety of enrichment activities, which may include STEM, coding, sports, nutrition, outdoor education, creative arts, and other youth development programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise students in classroom and outdoor settings.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Support students through hands-on, project-based learning activities.
- Encourage positive behavior and establish clear expectations.
- Build meaningful relationships with students, families, school staff, and team members.
- Assist with planning and implementing engaging enrichment activities.
- Collaborate with leadership and site staff to ensure program success.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have either:
- 48 completed college units, or
- Paraprofessional Certification.
- Previous experience working with children or youth is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to serve as a positive role model and mentor.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Requirements
- Ability to pass background screening and pre-employment requirements.
- Valid California driver's license and current auto insurance required.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors and remain active throughout the shift.
Schedule & Pay
- Part-Time
- Flexible weekday schedules available
- Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour
