Bilingual Human Resources/Recruitment Specialist

Location: Fort Myers, FL
Pay: $60,000–$70,000 annually
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Express Employment Professionals is currently sourcing qualified candidates for a Bilingual Human Resources/Recruitment Specialist position with a growing organization in the Fort Myers area. This position will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR support for field and leadership positions. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish and have experience recruiting within construction, landscaping, or other field-based industries.


Position Overview

The Bilingual Human Resources/Recruitment Specialist will partner closely with operations and leadership teams to recruit, hire, and onboard a high volume of hourly and supervisory employees.

This position will manage the recruiting process from initial sourcing through onboarding while maintaining accurate employee information and supporting compliance requirements. The role will also involve regular travel to branch locations, participation in safety meetings, and ongoing communication with candidates and new hires.


Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Source candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, social media, job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach.
  • Monitor and respond to candidate communications promptly to maintain strong candidate engagement.
  • Attend weekly safety meetings to promote employee referral programs and encourage internal referrals.
  • Recruit for a variety of field and leadership positions, including:
    • Ground Maintenance Laborers
    • Pest Control Technicians
    • Irrigation Technicians
    • Arbor/Tree Crew Members
    • Enhancements Crew Members
    • Operations Supervisors
    • Account Managers
  • Conduct interviews and communicate with candidates in both English and Spanish.
  • Partner with branch managers and operations leadership to understand hiring needs and workforce planning.
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for both seasonal and year-round staffing needs.

Onboarding & Compliance

  • Coordinate and assist with new hire orientations at branch locations as needed.
  • Complete and verify pre-employment requirements, including E-Verify and employment eligibility documentation.
  • Ensure recruiting and onboarding processes follow applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements.
  • Enter, update, and maintain accurate hiring and employee information within HR, payroll, and related systems.
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy of employee information across multiple systems.

Training & Development Support

  • Assist with onboarding and employee training initiatives.
  • Support training assignment setup, completion tracking, and employee assistance as needed.
  • Partner with HR, Safety, and Operations teams to support safety, compliance, and skills-based training programs.

Communication & Employee Engagement

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruiting and onboarding process.
  • Develop and maintain bilingual recruiting and onboarding materials.
  • Represent the organization at job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Maintain positive relationships with candidates, employees, branch leadership, and operations teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recruiting or HR experience.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
  • Experience recruiting for construction, landscaping, field-based, skilled trade, or labor-intensive positions preferred.
  • Experience with recruiting platforms and applicant tracking systems.
  • Experience maintaining employee and hiring information in HR, payroll, or similar systems.
  • Working knowledge of LinkedIn, Indeed, and other recruiting platforms.
  • Experience with E-Verify and employment eligibility requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to branch locations as needed.
  • Ability to attend weekly safety meetings and respond promptly to candidate communications.
