A Manufacturing Company in Aurora, IL is seeking 2D Laser Machine Operator to join their team!!

MUST HAVE 2D laser cutting  EXPERIENCE

 

Pay Rate: $20.00

2nd Shift: Monday to Friday 2:00pm to 10:30pm plus overtime as needed on a Saturday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC laser cutting machines and other production equipment; assist other machine operators as needed.
• Set up machines by selecting appropriate lenses, loading programs, and adjusting parameters based on material type and thickness.
• Perform machine setups, load tooling, make control adjustments, and ensure compliance with blueprints and specifications.
• Unload, sort, count, organize, and package finished parts.
• Conduct in-process inspections to verify quality and adherence to engineering requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area before, during, and after production.
• Safely clear machine jams and report equipment malfunctions to management.
• Collaborate with team members to maximize productivity, efficiency, and workplace safety.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications: 

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) • At least 2 years’ experience in 2D laser cutting operation • Ability to read, comprehend, follow, and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documents • Solid background working with sheet metal • Ability to multitask and prioritize in an effective way • Ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision while meeting all product quality requirements. • Basic math skills i.e. algebra, geometry and trigonometry required • Ability to use computer to operate specialty programs • Knowledge of how to program and run machine to cut specific part • Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
