PARALEGAL OPPORTUNITY | TEMP-TO-HIRE

Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of a prestigious, well-established law firm seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their probate, estate planning, taxation, and real estate practice.

💲 Pay: $17-$25/hour
📍 Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
📅 Type: Temp-to-Hire

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who has experience with real estate transactions and entity formation. The firm offers a family-oriented culture, outstanding employee retention, and a collaborative environment where you'll work closely with three attorneys and a small, dedicated team.

What You'll Do

• Prepare estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, probate filings, and related legal documents
• Form LLCs, corporations, and nonprofit entities
• Draft and review real estate documents, including:
  • Lady Bird Deeds
  • Warranty Deeds
  • Promissory Notes
• Research legal issues related to client matters
• Maintain organized client files and documentation
• Communicate with clients and respond to general inquiries
• Assist attorneys with special projects as needed
• Support front desk and reception duties during busy seasons

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience
• Experience in estate planning, entity formation, and/or real estate law
• Knowledge of Texas filing requirements and procedures preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to work additional hours during peak periods

Seasonal Schedule Information

The schedule is generally very consistent with standard office hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Since tax services account for a significant portion of the firm's business, all administrative staff assist during tax season.

From January through April 15th, employees will work 9 Saturdays, with most Saturdays being half-days and two full Saturdays occurring in April. Overtime is uncommon outside of these seasonal requirements.
