Express Employment Professionals is seeking a container repair technician for a local storage container company. 

 

Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm

Pay: $19/hourly

This position will be a 3 month long contract

 

Job Duties

• Read a tape measure and perform basic measurements.
• Use basic computer skills to look up work instructions.
• Train new employees on container assembly and repairs.
• Repair damaged containers with limited supervision.
• Perform light welding and simple cutting.
• Build and repair containers on a production line.
• Use tools and equipment safely.
• Operate a forklift after training.
• Use a pressure washer to clean containers.
• Move materials with a pallet jack or hand cart.
• Complete repair paperwork and track parts used.
• Keep the work area clean and safe.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety rules.
• Attend safety meetings and required training.
• Work independently and meet production goals.
• Stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain good attendance and be dependable.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of construction, assembly, steel fabrication, or related experience.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to read and understand English for safety instructions.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Able to work safely in a warehouse environment.

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to bend, stoop, climb ladders, and perform physical labor.
• Able to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
