Hours: Monday - Thursday, 5:00am - 3:00pm

Duties:

Set up and operate CNC machines, mills, lathes, and related machining equipment to produce quality parts according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, models, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
Visualize and manufacture parts from blueprints, rough sketches, and verbal instructions.
Select tooling, fixtures, and machine settings to achieve required dimensions and tolerances.
Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards.
Maintain accurate production records and follow established quality procedures.
Work cooperatively with team members to support production schedules and continuous improvement efforts.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Learn new machining techniques and processes through on-the-job training and observation.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a skilled machinist and completion of a recognized machinist apprenticeship program, or 3 years of experience as a skilled machinist.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, sketches, and specifications.
Strong math skills, including working with measurements, fractions, decimals, and tolerances.
Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to safely operate CNC machinery, manual machines, and related equipment.
Ability to identify quality concerns and make necessary machine adjustments.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
