Truck Driver (TSA Certified)

Position Summary

The TSA Certified Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, secure, and timely transportation of freight while complying with all federal, state, local, customer, and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations. This role requires maintaining a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), TSA security clearance, and a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and cargo security.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport freight safely and efficiently to designated locations.
• Comply with all TSA, Department of Transportation (DOT), and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
• Maintain TSA certification and adhere to all secure cargo handling procedures.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Secure loads properly to prevent cargo damage or loss.
• Complete all required shipping, delivery, and security documentation accurately.
• Report delays, accidents, equipment issues, or security incidents immediately.
• Maintain communication with dispatch, operations, and customers.
• Ensure timely pickups and deliveries while meeting service commitments.
• Observe all company safety and security policies.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and represent the company positively.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL (or applicable CDL class).
• Current TSA certification or ability to obtain TSA security clearance.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience (preferred).
• Clean driving record and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.
• Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and TSA regulations.
• Ability to operate electronic logging devices (ELDs) and mobile communication systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to security procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling air cargo, high-value freight, or secure shipments.
• Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement.
• TWIC card.
• Familiarity with airport cargo operations and TSA-regulated facilities.
• Forklift certification.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to load, unload, secure, and inspect freight.
• Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
