Electronic Assembler – Direct Hire

Location: Creedmoor, NC area
Job Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time | Hourly
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Pay: $16 - $18 / Hour

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for an Electronic Assembler for a Direct Hire opportunity with an established manufacturer of specialized electronic and electrical systems.

This position is a great fit for someone with experience in electronic assembly, electrical wiring, soldering, wire crimping, or electromechanical assembly who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in producing a quality finished product.

What You’ll Do

  • Assemble electrical and electronic components and finished products using hand tools and specialized equipment.
  • Read and follow work orders, assembly instructions, production drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and electronic schematics.
  • Identify common electronic components and correctly interpret component values.
  • Build and connect wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, connectors, chassis wiring, sensors, and control panels.
  • Perform advanced soldering and wire crimping as required.
  • Secure components using a variety of assembly methods, including crimping, screwing, bolting, soldering, cementing, and press-fit assembly.
  • Install components such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets onto chassis and panels.
  • Route and connect wires between components, circuit boards, connectors, terminals, and other contact points.
  • Install completed assemblies and subassemblies into cases, cabinets, and other finished products.
  • Build both individual subassemblies and larger products that may require collaboration with other assemblers.
  • Work on products from initial assembly through completion when assigned.
  • Use common hand tools as well as equipment such as drills, crimpers, cable cutters, and other specialty tools.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and perform repairs when necessary.
  • Conduct in-process inspections to verify workmanship and ensure products meet established specifications and quality standards.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions and communicate any issues that may affect production, quality, or safety.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical training, trade school, military training/certification, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and assembly documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with hand tools and electronic/electrical components.
  • Strong soldering and wire crimping skills.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and identify assembly issues.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.

Helpful Experience

  • 3–6 months of electronic, electrical, electromechanical, or related assembly experience.
  • Manufacturing or warehouse experience.
  • Experience building wiring harnesses or cable assemblies.
  • Experience working with sensors, control panels, circuit boards, or other electronic components.
  • Technical school, military electronics training, or other hands-on electrical/electronic training.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and perform hands-on assembly work throughout the workday.
  • Ability to use hand tools and perform detailed assembly tasks.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 80 pounds.
  • Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.
