Express is looking for a reliable Material Handler for one of our great Marietta clients. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for someone with forklift and overhead crane experience who is ready to put their skills to work and grow with a company. .
Job Duties:
- Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts
- Use hand tools to handle and prepare materials
- Package steel coils and bundles for shipment
- Wrap coils with waterproof paper
- Build or modify lifts for bundles
- Load and secure materials onto trucks for shipment
- Properly position and chock materials to ensure safe transportation
- Follow all safety and material-handling procedures
- Inspect materials for defects and identify potential shipping or handling damage
Requirements:
- Previous forklift and overhead crane experience are **required **
- Ability to safely handle and move materials
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift
- Must be dependable and safety-minded
