1st Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician

Salary: Up to $32/hr
Company Information: A company in Seymour, Indiana is hiring for a 1st Shift Maintenance Tech! This is a direct hire opportunity!
This is a hands-on role supporting the equipment used in the production of long-handled tools and wood products, including shovel handles and post hole digger handles.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting and repairing a variety of older industrial equipment and can work independently with minimal supervision.

Schedule:
- 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 6am-3:30pm
- Fridays 6am-10am
- No on-call responsibilities
Job Duties:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment and machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Maintain and repair saws, drills, riveters, furnaces, and other manufacturing equipment
- Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime
- Work independently to identify equipment concerns and prioritize repairs
- Assist with basic electrical troubleshooting as needed
- Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
Requirements:
- Previous industrial maintenance experience required
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to work independently and manage maintenance priorities
- Experience maintaining older manufacturing equipment preferred
- Basic electrical knowledge is a plus, but not required
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work in a manufacturing environment
