Express Employment Professionals is seeking Bilingual Sales Floor Associates for a well-established retail store that is opening it's first San Antonio location! Our client specializes in fabrics, sewing notions, arts and crafts, and home decor products. It is ideal for individuals who enjoy helping customers, working in a fast-paced retail environment, and staying active throughout the day. This is an opportunity for permanent placement with a growing company.

 

This position requires Spanish and English (bilingual). The ideal candidate enjoys providing exceptional customer service, and takes pride in maintaining an organized and welcoming shopping experience.

 

Pay: $12.50 per hour
Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week

 

Sales Floor Associate Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional customer service and assist shoppers with product questions and selections
• Help customers locate fabrics, sewing notions, arts and craft supplies, and home decor merchandise
• Measure and cut fabric, ribbon, and other materials at the cutting counter
• Stock merchandise from the backroom to the sales floor
• Set and maintain displays according to store layouts and planograms
• Update pricing and replace price tags throughout the store
• Organize and recover merchandise to maintain a clean and attractive sales floor
• Move fabric rolls between display areas, storage locations, and cutting stations
• Unload trucks containing fabric rolls, home decor merchandise, sewing supplies, and craft products
• Operate pallet jacks and utilize store receiving equipment as needed
• Support store operations and assist team members where needed

 

Products You'll Work With

• Fabric rolls including quilting, garment, and upholstery fabrics
• Bedding, comforters, pillows, sheets, pet beds, and decorative home accessories
• Sewing notions and crafting supplies
• Arts and crafts merchandise

 

Required Qualifications

• Fluent in both Spanish and English (required)
• Previous customer service or retail experience preferred
• Positive attitude with a genuine desire to help others
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to learn product knowledge and assist customers with purchasing decisions
• Entry level candidates are welcomed

 

Physical Requirements

This is an active retail position that requires:

• Standing and walking for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching
• Moving and stocking merchandise throughout the store
• Lifting and carrying fabric rolls, boxes, and retail inventory
• Assisting with truck unloading and product replenishment

Schedule

• Store hours are 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM. Associates may be scheduled for any of the following shifts:
  • 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM
• Approximately 30 hours per week
• Five days per week
• Two days off each week (Saturday required availability)
