Lumber Puller / Material Handler

Starting Pay: $20.50/hour
Schedule: Day Shift, Monday-Thursday 6:45 AM-5:15 PM

We are seeking a dependable Lumber Puller / Material Handler to support production operations in a manufacturing environment. This hands-on position is responsible for pulling, staging, organizing, and preparing lumber needed for daily production. If you have experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, Production Worker, Forklift Operator, General Laborer, or Warehouse Worker, your background may transfer well to this opportunity. 

Schedule

• Monday through Thursday
• 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
• Mandatory overtime on Fridays as business needs require

Job Responsibilities

• Pull and stage lumber according to daily production schedules
• Unwrap and prepare lumber for production use
• Maintain inventory of lumber lengths in the pulling area
• Cut defective lumber into usable lengths
• Perform moisture checks when necessary
• Store incoming materials in designated locations
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with other production-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and understand production sheets
• Basic math skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized
• Experience using a tape measure and other measuring tools
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Powered industrial truck or forklift experience is helpful

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding position.

• Stand for 8-10 hours per shift
• Consistently lift up to 50 pounds
• Reach, stoop, squat, and work overhead
• Repeatedly climb on and off forklifts throughout the day

Work Environment

This position works in an indoor manufacturing environment supporting daily production operations. Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to keep materials flowing to production are critical to success in this role.
