Shipping & Receiving Warehouse Associate

Temple, TX | Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (30-Minute Lunch)

Pay: $18-22/hr

Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of a local company seeking a dependable and motivated Shipping & Receiving Warehouse Associate. This position is ideal for someone with warehouse experience who enjoys a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and teamwork.

Job Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Inspect materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues as needed.
• Unload, sort, label, and store inventory in designated locations.
• Pick, pack, label, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
• Create shipping documentation, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
• Coordinate shipments and pickups with carriers and delivery drivers.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
• Enter shipping and receiving data into inventory or warehouse management systems.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Follow company policies and OSHA safety standards.
• Work closely with warehouse, production, purchasing, and customer service teams.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
• Forklift experience required. Certification is a plus.
• Ability to use pallet jacks, hand trucks, barcode scanners, and other warehouse equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. independently.
• Occasionally lift or move items over 50 lbs. with assistance or mechanical equipment.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment and perform physical labor as needed.
