Description: Looking for a professional in accounting, someone familiar with AR, AP, Tax Law, payroll etc. The duties of this position will range significantly depending on the demands of the position. You will be maintaining a system of controls over all accounting transactions, and is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit policies, billing, general ledger, and fixed asset accounting. Prepare projection of material and labor costs and produce cost analysis and ratio analysis reports for management; analyze trends in cost variances. Responsible for preparation and issuing timely and complete monthly corporate financial statements and insurance reporting, and preparation of all other financial statements, corporate income tax returns, and other reports required by regulatory agencies. As a controller, you will have a team working beneath you. Directly supervise all employees in the accounting department.  Cross-supervision of employees responsible for accounting functions at company’s operations in Massachusetts and U.K.  Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, recommend hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Utilizing computer heavily within this field & softwares such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP experience

Requirements: 10+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience for a manufacturing company that includes financial statement preparation, tax preparation or familiarity with tax laws, and filing requirements.  This position requires education equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in accounting or Business Administration degree from a four-year college or university. Certified Public Accountant or Certified Public Accountant designations preferred.
