About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Property Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day maintenance, safety, and operations of a logistics facility. The successful candidate will work closely with Operations, HR, Safety, Transportation, and external vendors to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily condition and operation of the facility, including building, docks, yard, offices, HVAC, lighting, security, and utilities.
  • Conduct regular facility and safety inspections and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate emergency procedures, inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Manage contractors and vendors, including cleaning, security, landscaping, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, waste, and pest control.
  • Obtain quotes, monitor vendor performance, review invoices, and maintain service records.
  • Support facility budgeting, expense tracking, reporting, and capital improvement projects.
  • Work closely with Operations, HR, and Safety teams to resolve facility-related issues.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance and operational issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in facilities, building management, warehouse operations, logistics, or a related field.
  • Valid Class G driver’s licence required.
  • Experience in a warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, or transportation facility strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of facility maintenance, building systems, workplace safety, and vendor management.
  • Experience managing contractors and service providers.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work flexible hours when required.
  • Knowledge of Ontario health and safety regulations is an asset.
