CNC Machinist

About the Opportunity

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting an experienced CNC Machinist for a well-established manufacturing company. This position is ideal for a skilled machinist with experience operating and setting up CNC lathes and mills, particularly using Okuma and Fanuc controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust CNC lathes and mills
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manufacturing specifications
• Select and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding devices
• Perform offsets, tool changes, and program edits
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
• Utilize precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and indicators
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining issues
• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience preferred
• Experience with Okuma and Fanuc controls
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
• Strong knowledge of G-code and program editing
• Experience using precision measuring equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
• High school diploma or GED required
