Are you a hands-on maintenance leader who takes pride in keeping a property running safely, efficiently, and at its best?

 

We’re looking for a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team at a busy hospitality property. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys solving problems, developing people, staying ahead of preventative maintenance, and taking ownership of the overall condition of a property.

 

Fun fact: This property includes multiple restaurants, bars, and entertainment spaces, so there is always something happening and the maintenance team plays an important behind-the-scenes role in keeping it all running.

 

What you'll do

• Lead, schedule, train, coach, and develop the maintenance team
• Set daily priorities and assign work based on urgency and operational needs
• Oversee preventative maintenance, repairs, and work orders
• Conduct regular property inspections and address safety or maintenance concerns
• Respond quickly to guest-impacting maintenance issues
• Keep guestrooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, grounds, equipment, and building systems operating properly
• Work closely with Guest Services and Housekeeping to get rooms back into service quickly
• Partner with Food & Beverage to minimize equipment downtime and support daily operations and events
• Monitor preventative maintenance completion, work-order backlogs, recurring issues, and repair needs
• Manage parts, supplies, tools, inventory, vendors, and purchasing
• Monitor maintenance spending and help control unnecessary costs
• Identify larger repair and improvement needs and communicate them to leadership
• Maintain life-safety systems and emergency procedures
• Participate in department-head meetings and contribute to overall property operations
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and development of maintenance team members

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, building operations, or a related field
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• The ability to prioritize multiple issues in a busy environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of workplace safety and life-safety practices
• Experience working with vendors, inventory, purchasing, or maintenance budgets
• A hands-on approach and willingness to jump in when needed
• The ability to work effectively with people across multiple departments
