Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a reliable, hardworking Assistant Maintenance/Janitorial employee for a high rise community in Bonita Springs. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work and is comfortable helping with both general cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate is dependable, takes direction well, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to keep the facility running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and janitorial duties throughout the facility
• Clean offices, classrooms, common areas, restrooms, and other designated spaces
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and remove trash
• Restock cleaning and facility supplies as needed
• Assist with basic building maintenance and repairs
• Change light bulbs and perform other minor maintenance tasks
• Assist with basic plumbing, painting, drywall repairs, and general upkeep
• Help move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed
• Assist with setting up and breaking down rooms for meetings, programs, and events
• Perform regular walkthroughs to identify cleaning or maintenance issues
• Keep storage areas, maintenance areas, and workspaces clean and organized
• Assist with exterior upkeep, grounds maintenance, and light landscaping
• Safely use common hand tools and cleaning equipment
• Report larger maintenance issues or safety concerns to management
• Assist maintenance staff and outside vendors when needed
• Perform other general facility duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial, maintenance, custodial, or facilities experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance is a plus
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools and cleaning equipment
• Reliable and dependable with good attendance
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality of work
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Comfortable performing physical work throughout the day
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move furniture or equipment when needed
• Must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing stairs or ladders
• Positive attitude and willingness to help with a variety of tasks
• Valid driver's license preferred
