Warehouse Worker / Mover Assistant

Location: Vestal, NY
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (occasional Saturdays as needed)
Hours: Approximately 40 hours/week during peak season, 30 hours/week during non-peak season

About the Opportunity

A well-established moving and storage company in the Vestal area is seeking a dependable Warehouse Worker / Mover Assistant to join their team. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in maintaining an organized workplace, and values being part of a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Pack, unpack, and protect household and commercial items for transport and storage
• Assist with local residential and commercial moves
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
• Maintain accurate inventory and storage records
• Perform warehouse organization and general facility upkeep
• Complete property maintenance duties both inside and outside the facility
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
• Communicate effectively with operations staff to ensure customer and company goals are met
• Perform a variety of general labor tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card
• Previous forklift experience preferred
• Inventory control or warehouse experience preferred
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy items throughout the day
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
