PROCESSING OPERATOR

$19/hour | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Evaluation-to-Hire Opportunity | Full-Time Hours

Must have reliable transportation – location is not accessible by direct bus route

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of a local Guelph client for an Evaluation-to-Hire Processing Operator!

This is a great opportunity for someone with food production, manufacturing, or machine operating experience who is looking to join a team in a structured GMP environment, with the potential to transition into a permanent position.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Weigh and blend materials used in the encapsulation process
• Operate processing and capsule-filling equipment
• Read job tickets and follow specifications for materials and machine settings
• Make routine machine adjustments to maintain production speed and quality
• Monitor equipment during operation and identify defects or malfunctions
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
• Complete regular in-process quality checks
• Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments as required
• Follow all food safety, safety, GMP, and SQF requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma
• 1–2 years of relevant work experience; food industry experience is considered an asset
• Comfortable working with measurements and basic math, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve within established procedures
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Comfortable working in a GMP environment
• Reliable transportation is required

GMP Environment Requirements:

This is a GMP environment, and PPE must be worn throughout the entire shift, including gloves, masks, hairnets, coats, and safety shoes.

No jewelry, false nails, or false eyelashes are permitted.
