We are seeking a dependable and skilled Woodshop Carpenter / Cabinet Maker to join our team. This is a shop-based position focused on building and assembling wood components according to drawings and specifications. This is not a framing or construction carpenter position.
The ideal candidate will have previous woodworking, cabinet-making, millwork, or similar shop experience and be comfortable working with a variety of woodworking tools and equipment.
Read and interpret drawings, plans, measurements, and basic shop specifications
Measure, cut, assemble, and finish wood components accurately
Operate various woodworking tools and equipment safely
Use tape measures and other measuring tools to ensure accurate cuts and dimensions
Assemble wood products using nail guns, staple guns, fasteners, adhesives, and other methods
Inspect completed pieces for quality and accuracy
Follow production instructions and established shop procedures
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Assist with other woodshop and production duties as needed
Candidates should have experience with, or the ability to quickly learn, equipment such as:
Table saws
Miter/chop saws
Circular saws
Nail guns
Staple guns
Drills and other power tools
Hand tools
Tape measures and measuring equipment
Previous woodworking, cabinet-making, carpentry, millwork, or woodshop experience preferred
Ability to accurately use a tape measure
Ability to read drawings, plans, or shop specifications, or the ability to learn quickly
Comfortable operating woodworking tools and equipment
Strong attention to detail and quality
Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Dependable attendance and ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work safely in a production/woodshop environment
Ability to stand and work for extended periods
Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks
Ability to safely lift and handle wood, materials, and finished components
Ability to work around sawdust, power tools, and woodworking machinery
Experience in cabinet shops, furniture manufacturing, woodworking, millwork, or similar production environments is strongly encouraged.
